Hello and Welcome

Welcome to the Ukelle Cultural Festival Website. Ukelle is on the move, rising from obscurity to global prominence. At the heart of this transformation is the Ukelle Cultural Festival (UCF) 2025: a dynamic reimagining of our traditional Central New Yam Festival. What was once a local celebration has now evolved into a vibrant socio-cultural showcase, capturing the depth and richness of Ukelle’s history, heritage, and identity. The UCF aims to harness the power of culture as a tool for promoting unity, peace, and sustainable development across the Ukelle nation. In today’s digitally connected world, achieving this vision requires embracing technology, and that’s where this website comes in.

This platform is designed to showcase, promote, and project Ukelle to national and international audiences. Through it, we invite the world to experience our culture, engage with our community, and witness the enduring spirit of Ukelle.

On behalf of the UCF Central Planning Committee, and with profound gratitude to God Almighty, our elders, leaders, and the entire Ukelle people who entrusted us with this responsibility, I warmly welcome you to the virtual home of Ukelle.

Ukelle Cultural Festival — Where Our Stories Breathe

Forget the noise of the world. In Ukelle, the land sings, the people dance, and the past lives on in every heartbeat. The Ukelle Cultural Festival is more than an event — it is a proud display of identity, heritage, and unity among the Ukelle people of Cross River State. Held annually, this vibrant celebration brings together indigenes and guests to experience a living tradition that spans generations. From traditional music and vibrant attire to storytelling, wrestling, and the iconic masquerade dances, the festival is a heartfelt reminder of where we come from and who we are.
